Frankincense is obtained from the resin of Boswellia carterii, a tree that grows in the arid regions of Africa, the Arab world and India.
The tree bark is scratched to extract the resin. The oil is then produced by steam distillation of the resin.
Frankincense, one of the biblical plants, has been used as a precious incense substance since ancient times.
The balsamic, sweet fragrance with a fresh resin note lingers in the room for a long time and yet remains discreetly in the background.
The mystical incense scent conveys strength, purification, power and energy and creates an atmospheric room ambience.
