Beeswax candles rolled from center walls

This is what you need:

  • Foundation made of pure beeswax (available in the FAIE online shop)
  • Wick (depending on the thickness of the candle, for example, thickness 4 for a plate)
  • Cutting tool e.g. cutter
  • Ruler and pad

Cutting foundation sheets / wax sheets

Cut the centerpieces to the desired height and width of your candles. For smaller candles, a narrow strip is sufficient; for thicker candles, you can use several centerpieces in a row. If you want candles with a twisted look, divide the centerpiece to create two triangles.

Place wick

Place the wick at the edge of the center wall so that it extends slightly over the top. This will make it easier to light the candle later. The wick should sit firmly in the center and be pressed in firmly.

Attention - If you're using a round wick, make sure the wick fibers on the flat side point downward in a V shape. This will ensure a more beautiful burn.

Roll up the middle wall

Carefully begin rolling the centerpiece tightly around the wick. Make sure the roll is tight and even to ensure a clean burn. Gently press the edge down repeatedly to secure it. Make sure the bottom of the candle is level, otherwise it won't stand upright later.

Finish the candle

After rolling, gently press the edge to prevent the roll from coming loose. If desired, you can now gently shape the candle in your hands. Your handmade beeswax candle is ready!

Have fun crafting and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere with the scent of natural beeswax!
