Electric fence derivations

Even the most powerful electric fence energizer will be brought to its knees if current leaks from the fence accidentally leak. Examples include broken insulators, unsuitable posts, or vegetation that directly touches the fence conductor (wire, polywire, or tape). Overhanging branches or broken trees (see photo) are also a real problem and, perhaps unnoticed, endanger the herding safety of your fence. If the current is leaked, the herding voltage on the fence is reduced accordingly. To prevent your animals from escaping, regularly walk the entire length of the fence and check all components. You'll see, the effort is worth it and you'll save yourself a lot of trouble! :-)
