Pasture gates and gate systems

When using gates or gate systems (gate handles with elastic rope or Flexigate) in a pasture fence, care should be taken to ensure that the protective effect (current flow) is maintained in all fence sections, even when the gate is open. This can be easily achieved by connecting all rows of conductors (tape, rope, or wire) before and after the gate with couplings, clamps, or connectors. The lowest rows of the two fence sections are then connected underground (under the gate) at a depth of approximately 30-50 cm with an insulated high-voltage cable.
There's also a solution if you don't want the gate conductor to be live when the gate is open (for example, an animal or person could step on it and get an electric shock). As you can see in the diagram, all you need to do is attach a separate insulator to the beginning of the flexible gate, so the gate is only powered from one side—and only when it's closed.
