Equipment tips for feeder fishing
The equipment combination for feeders should harmonize perfectly so that
the powerful yet sensitive rods can show off their full advantages. For this reason, we recommend feeder rods with small match reels mounted on them and spooled with braided line such as Dyneem Green 0.12 mm. A spiral feeder or a wire feeder basket can be attached to the main line using a Classic Feeder Boom. A bead should be fitted between the feeder boom and the high-performance swivel in sizes 8-12 as knot protection. Almost all baits can be used when feeder fishing, from maggots, worms and corn to cheese or bait fish. The choice of bait and therefore also the choice of hook type and size depends on the type of fish being fished for. Suitable target fish hooks for each species of fish can be found in our range. Match fishing equipment tips
For successful match fishing, we recommend a sensitive match rod with a matching small fishing reel, as well as the appropriate target fish line, either whitefish or all-round, in strengths of 0.16 - 0.22 mm, depending on the body of water and the species being targeted. To complement this combination, we recommend universal or target fish floats from our float ranges between 1 - 7 g, as well as floats from the whitefish set. Rubber or thread stoppers are ideal for securing the float. Shot leads, barrel swivels with snap hooks, and target fish hooks such as bream hooks, roach hooks, and tench hooks round out the set. For match fishing, baits such as maggots, earthworms, dendrobenas, individual kernels of corn, and pinkies are used. Additionally, Westline all-round bait can be placed on the fishing spot in the form of small bait balls.
