The mowing season is just around the corner

Maintenance and protection measures for the finger mower!
All damaged or severely worn parts of the mower blade must be replaced. If these repairs are not carried out, flying blade fragments can cause serious injuries. Furthermore, such fragments in the forage pose a danger to the animals.
Emergency repairs pose an additional risk! Therefore, such work should always be carried out professionally. Mower bars must be appropriately covered and secured after use. These precautions also apply to motor mowers! When transporting motor mowers on a loading area, the load should be securely lashed to prevent them from rolling.
Drum or disc mowers
Worn aprons must be replaced immediately, as they do not provide protection against flying clods of earth or stones. Blade mounts and blades must be inspected and replaced if necessary. The protective covers of rotating parts must be checked for functionality and properly reattached after maintenance.
All drive shafts must be equipped with a protective cover and a fastening chain to prevent the guard from twisting. This is especially important, as serious accidents often occur due to clothing, long hair, or shoelaces getting caught in them. Defective or worn bearings on the drums must be replaced as soon as possible!
Of course, suitable tools and protective clothing must be worn when performing the work. Protective gloves are especially essential to avoid crushing and cuts to the hands.
Last but not least, we'd like to point out the noise pollution associated with mowing with an open cab. Therefore, wear appropriate hearing protection!
