For zander and perch fishing, we recommend similar equipment, but with a casting weight in the 20-60g range, as for pike fishing. A medium 4000 spool spooled with zander target line between 0.25 and 0.30 mm, or alternatively with Dyneema Green 0.10, would be the ideal combination.
The floats are also a bit finer; suitable for this are target fish models from our float range, as well as floats from the Zander set. Both hexagonal and pear-shaped weights should be chosen between 20 and 60 g.
In waters with high pike populations, a thin 6 kg steel leader with a single hook or treble hook should be used. If few pike are expected, Zander target fish hooks or Zander target fish hooks with a special twin hook can also be used.
Not only smaller bait fish are suitable as bait for zander, but also earthworms or fish scraps.
