Whether you are a pool newcomer or an experienced pool owner - checking the pH value is essential for everyone. An unbalanced pH value can cause numerous problems: from limescale deposits and algae formation to skin irritation. In addition, many pool care products are only fully effective at an optimum pH value. BAYZID pH-Minus granules reliably help you to achieve the ideal pH range and thus create the basis for effective and sustainable pool care.

Please note that our dosage recommendation ONLY applies to drinking water. We cannot recommend a dosage for well water or other water!

Dosage recommendation

The pH value of your pool water should be permanently between 7.0 and 7.4. The dosage of Bayzid pH-Minus Granulat depends on the pH value determined by you using a suitable measuring set (test device) in order to adjust it to the ideal value of 7.0 - 7.4.

Our recommendations for using pH reducer granules:

The pH value cannot be changed by more than 0.3 - 0.5 per day. An adjustment should be made slowly over several days.

Experience has shown that to lower the pH value by 0.1, you need

5,000 - 10,000 liters water content: 5 g per 2,500 liters

15,000 - 25,000 liters water content: 20 - 50 g per 10,000 liters

30,000 - 50,000 liters water content: 50 - 100 g per 10,000 liters

1,000 liters = 1 m³

Please note that the pH value takes up to 24 hours to adjust throughout the water after the addition of pH-lowering and/or raising agents! Therefore, avoid uncontrolled further additions.

How is the pH Minus granulate used?

The Bayzid pH Minus Granules are added to the pool, distributed over the surface of the water. The granules sink to the bottom and dissolve. The Bayzid pH-Minus granules do not stain the liner. Keep an eye on the pH value by regularly checking it with a suitable measuring device (test device). This allows you to react to changes at an early stage!
