The Federal Research Center for Forests (BFW) has now developed the Austria-wide tree species traffic light, a unique tool that enables an initial assessment of suitable tree species. Selecting climate-adapted tree species is no easy task, especially in times of rising temperatures.
The BFW's new tree species traffic light was presented on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. The target group is all forest owners in Austria.
