Halved robinia post. Length 200 cm, Ø 13-15 cm
Robinia wood, often referred to as false acacia, is one of the European hardwoods.
It is known for its exceptional durability and resistance to weathering and rot, even in constant contact with water and soil.
Because it requires no additional impregnation, it is considered a particularly environmentally friendly solution.
The wood of the posts adapts dynamically to changing environmental conditions.
In high humidity, it absorbs water and expands, while in dry conditions it releases moisture and contracts. These natural processes can lead to cracks in the post, but do not affect the stability or lifespan of the posts.
Fresh robinia posts initially display a yellow-green color, which transforms into an attractive silver-gray patina with exposure to UV radiation and moisture. This is characteristic, protects the wood, and gives it an attractive appearance.
The posts are easy to install and can be easily driven or buried into the ground, making installation efficient and time-saving.
Due to their natural texture, the post offers optimal, seamless and even protection against insects, fungi, and soft rot.
All posts are stripped of bark, pointed four times, and chamfered. (Bark is indigestible for horses.)
