The loaded vole trap is placed with the mouth in the exposed mouse passage.

After a short time, the mouse will try to close the passage again to keep out light and fresh air.

The high gas pressure of the special cartridge ruptures the vole's lungs in a flash and kills it immediately in accordance with animal welfare regulations.
