Lux or lumen - what's the difference?

Lux and lumen - these are two different units that are often used in connection with lighting. But what is the difference? Lux indicates the illuminance. This value indicates how brightly a surface is illuminated. Lumen, on the other hand, describes the total radiant power emitted by a light source.
