What all belongs to the pasture fence?

… Electric fence energizer – depending on the animal species, fence length, vegetation and power supply options, you can choose between mains-powered devices (230 V), rechargeable (12 V) or battery-powered devices (9 V), combination devices (mains or rechargeable) and solar devices.
… Grounding – Proper and adequate grounding is essential for the proper functioning of an electric fence. This requires connecting the electric fence energizer to an earth rod via a grounding cable or ground connection cable.
…Earth connection cable – connects the electric fence energizer to the earthing rod.
… Fence connection cable – connects the electric fence energizer to the fence.
… Electric fence posts – different designs depending on the type of fence (mobile, permanent). Wooden, recycled, plastic, fiberglass, round, and oval steel posts are available. The height and spacing of the posts should be adapted to the animal species and conductor material.
… Insulators – Insulation between the conductor material and the electric fence posts and the ground. Depending on the conductor, there are ring, wide-band, combination, slot, rope, or wire insulators. Corner and guy insulators are used at the beginning of the fence and in the corners. Gate handle insulators can be used to attach gate handles, thus electrically connecting them to the rest of the fence. Insulators should be checked regularly for their condition – a broken insulator will conduct electricity to the post and the ground.
… Conductor material – tapes, ropes, stranded wire, and wires. These are selected depending on the animal species (e.g., horses prefer wide tapes) and local conditions (tapes are more susceptible to wind). Since the conductor carries the current to the farthest end of the fence, no expense should be spared here, especially for very long fences! Breaking load (e.g., for heavier, "escape-prone" animals) and the lowest possible resistance (specified in ohms/m) are important.
… Rope/tape coupling – Connects the individual rows of a pasture fence together.
… Connectors – Connect ropes, tapes or wires in a row together (e.g. at the end of the spool or when a rope breaks).
… Warning signs – in many areas it is mandatory by law to attach a warning sign (“Caution: Electric Fence”) to the pasture fence approximately every 100 m along public paths and roads.
