The auto-speed function reacts to the different splitting pressure and switches the splitting speed independently. During the idle stroke, the valve switches to the maximum speed possible due to the pump performance. During the splitting process, the valve automatically switches to the highest possible pressure. This results in the maximum splitting force. If the piece of wood has already been split, the splitting force is reduced and the valve automatically switches back to maximum speed.
