Thanks to the chimney, the briquettes are ready for use quickly and the food is on the table quickly. For optimal results, place 2 to 3 lighter cubes on the charcoal grate and ignite them. Then place the chimney starter filled with briquettes or charcoal over it. If you don't have any kindling cubes at hand, two crumpled pieces of newspaper can also be used to light the fire. After about 30 minutes the briquettes are ready to use. With charcoal it takes about 15 to 20 minutes. As soon as the top briquettes are covered with a white-grey layer of ash, you can lift the chimney starter by both handles and carefully spread the glowing briquettes onto the charcoal grate.
